The Snow Camp community will hold a Fourth of July celebration and parade again this year. All are invited to come and participate. Sponsored by the Sylvan Ruritan of Snow Camp, the Celebration will begin with a parade at 10 am on Monday, the fourth of July, 2011 and follow with live bluegrass music, a large selection of inflatables, games and activities for kids, food, ice cream, and fun at the Sylvan Elementary Ball Field next to Sylvan School.

Those who wish to be in the parade should meet at Sylvan Elementary School no later than 9:30 am on Monday, July 4th. Participating groups include the Pleasant Hill Saddle Club, Snow Camp Volunteer Fire Department, area churches, tractors, classic cars, and others. Children and other groups are welcome to participate in the parade. The parade will follow its traditional route, around Sylvan School & Drama Roads before returning to the school. Line up along the roadside for the best views!

Immediately following the parade, the celebration will continue at the ball field, with concessions including hot dogs, french fries, candy, drinks, ice cream and baked goods. Local churches, meetings, vendors and residents are invited to bring baked goods and arts & crafts and will need to register by July 2, 2011.
